Luxury apartments to rent at the heart of the Ötzal Alps
'Residenz Zwieselstein' is a select, luxury complex of 12 apartments spread on 5 levels with fantastic views of the mountains and is ideally located as a ski apartment for Sölden and Obergurgl.
The complex is situated in the alpine village of Zwieselstein (1.472 m), in the Ötztal Valley, arguably the prettiest in the Tirol. ‘Residenz Zwieselstein’ is 3km to the South of Sölden in the heart of the Ötztal Alps, 1.5 miles from the lifts and less than 200m away from the ski bus stop to ski resorts in Sölden and Obergurgl. With its small chapel dating back to 1747 the village is characteristically Tyrolean, dominated by 600 mountain peaks of which 174 are over 3,000 m.
Apartment Burns is located on the 1st floor providing panoramic mountain views from the balcony. The apartment is furnished to a very high standard including all mod cons such as flat screen TVs and fully fitted kitchens.
The village and the valley offer a unique combination of stunning natural landscapes, warm hospitality and authentic tradition. The raw beauty and picture postcard surroundings contrast with the impressive infrastructure and facilities available to visitors.
With more runs than Chamonix and Kitzbühel, Sölden definitely has a lot to offer and is certainly one of the top international ski resorts in Austria. Although Sölden's vast ski area, spanning over 150km, is enough to keep even the keenest skiers busy, there are plans to connect the valleys of Otztala and Pitztal via the Rettenbach Glacier which should be complete within the next two years. This will give rise to an even more diverse and challenging piste. There are countless restaurants, bars and shops along the main street and a sports center with indoor adventure pool, public sauna, indoor tennis courts and bowling. The après-ski is world-renowned with numerous pubs and clubs offering live music and DJs.

The Rettenbach Glacier and Tiefenbach Glacier feature 20 km² of groomed slopes and 38 km of ski runs in the autumn. Both Glaciers are connected with 10 state-of-the-art ski lifts with an average capacity of 20,000 people per hour. Sölden is the only winter sports resort worldwide that runs an International Test Centre with all of the most important manufacturers based here.
